Laura Vik

I began working with clay back in 2006 and immediately felt as if I found my home. Part of my enjoyment comes from the tactile experience of working with clay. I want to create pieces that will connect with people, pull them in; whether it is though the feel of how a mug fits in your hand or through some visual aspect of the pottery. Lately I have begun creating pottery that appears worn, well loved. What made someone decide repair the piece? What is its history? These are questions I hope people will ask.
