In June, C’ville Arts will be featuring the work of Flame Bilyue’ in her new show, Forest Fantasies. The cooperative gallery is hosting an art opening for Flame on First Friday, June 3, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm.
Exploring the magic of her beloved woods, Flame’s show includes watercolors, mixed media, and her Sculpted Paper paintings and jewelry.
Flame’s Sculpted Paper process takes art scraps and junk mail, blends it into a clay-like pulp, which she then paints and shapes using various tools.
Flame will also host a Meet the Artist talk at C’ville Arts After Hours on Wednesday, June 8th at 6:30pm, as well as a demonstration and workshop on her Sculpted Paper technique on Wednesday, June 22nd, also at 6:30pm. (These events are free and open to the public but please email Flame to register for the demo/workshop as space is limited)
