The cast from Fiddler on the Roof pays C’ville Arts Gallery a visit

During a visit to the John Paul Jones Arena in early Spring, part of the cast from Fiddler on the Roof stopped by to say hello!  With the photo….

Here is a picture of three of the cast members from the North American Tour of “Fiddler on the Roof” in our Tradition pose.  We had a performance at the University of Virginia John Paul Jones Arena on February 21, 2012 and during the day we were walking around the Charlottesville downtown Mall when we came upon the beautiful Harmony bench.  (left to right Gerri Weagraff Golde, Barbi McGuire Shandel, Yente US, Stephen Charles Turner The Fiddler)

Foster from Bedfordshire in England stopped by to say “hi!”

“Hi, This is Foster from Bedfordshire in England, together with his pet dragon Flash who we just bought from Alakazam, the great toy shop a few shops away.
We are on holiday (vacation) for two weeks in Virginia  and DC, having a wonderful time.
Great Bench!”

Thanks, John and Foster for stopping by!  Great photo!

Adam and Ryan gave us smiles…

Following New Passions

February is the month to celebrate love, past, present and future. Please join the cooperative for a special, month long, commemorative exhibit featuring 2 extremely talented and loved members who are moving on to new adventures in life. The opening reception will be on Friday February 3rd from 6 – 8 pm.

Leslie Allyn paints whimsical designs in rich colors and organic line, using unique techniques in watercolor and black ink pen. The paintings and their distinctive style are a clever combination of the ethereal and the mundane, inspired by dreams, nature, contemplation, and fleeting moments.

C'ville Arts Cooperative and Gallery on the downtown mall in Charlottesville, VirginiaMingqiu Chen is a Chinese paper cutting artist who has mastered the technique with exquisite details. Viewers often find her compositions astonishing when they realize all are painstakingly made from hand cut paper.

C’ville Arts will miss both of these popular artists and their generous spirit, as they individually move away from Charlottesville to seek new passions. We wish them both a wonderful future filled with vision, creativity and prosperity. This is a rare opportunity to show your appreciation by giving them a strong farewell celebration.
